Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary

For creative teens.
For teens that have a
story to tell.
For teens who love nature.

About our Program

Our Summer Learning Programs are hosted by our non-profit Little Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, which aims to educate the public about farmed and exotic rescue, animal care, and inspire compassion.

Learning with Us

Little Patch aims to honor the sacred relationship between humans and animals through meshing creative learning topics such as Dungeons & Dragons, Storytelling and World Building with the natural world.

Futuristic Adventurer Scene

Character Creation

Understanding Identity & Perspective for ourselves and our friends.

Role-playing provides a safe space to try new ways of communicating and responding.

Without real-world consequences. Students often find it easier to speak up “in character,” which naturally builds confidence that carries over into everyday life.

Speaking in character encourages brave communication and builds confidence within players.

Travertines of Pamukkale

World Building

World building gives students a creative way to explore and process the world they live in.

As they design kingdoms, communities, conflicts, and challenges, they are often working through real themes  fairness, leadership, power, responsibility, belonging, courage, and justice as a group.
